Halmahera, located between Sulawesi and Raja Ampat, offers some of the most pristine dive sites in Indonesia. Expect vibrant walls, massive coral formations, schools of bumphead parrotfish, sharks, batfish, and countless macro highlights. Most of the time, we are the only divers around – a true insider’s tip!
Halmahera has long been overlooked by the diving community and is only now beginning to awaken to its full potential.

Our Dive Resort in Halmahera –
Right on the House Reef
We stay in a small dive resort right on the beach, surrounded by jungle and sea.
Each bungalow features air conditioning, a hot-water shower, and a veranda overlooking the water. The restaurant serves both international and Indonesian cuisine, and after diving you can unwind with spa treatments and massages.
If you are looking for peace and relaxation alongside your diving adventures, this is the perfect place.
Practical Information
for Your Trip to Halmahera
- Water temperature: 26–29 °C – shorty or 3mm wetsuits are ideal
- Visibility: 25–40 m
- Payments on the island: cash only (EUR, USD, CHF, Rupiah)
- Visa: e-VOA or VoA (30 days). You can either apply on the website of the Indonesian embassy or upon arrival.
Both options are possible. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon entry. - Alcohol is expensive & hard to find – bring your favorite spirits with you 😉
Price of the Dive Trip & Booking
- €3,120 per diver in double room.
Single supplement €600 - Beach Front Villa per diver €4,400,
Single supplement €1,140 - Non-divers pay €700 less
