Raja Ampat - Manta Rochen

Ready for your diving adventure?

This diving trip takes you straight to Raja Ampat in eastern Indonesia—one of the most biodiverse and pristine marine areas in the world. A paradise for discerning divers. On our trips between 2016 and 2025, we were fortunate to experience countless special encounters. There, we encountered the bizarre wobbegong sharks, the “walking shark” endemic to the region, manta rays that came so close they barely fit in the frame, tame sea turtles, huge schools of buffalo-head parrotfish, swarms of large barracudas, massive groupers, and enormous schools of trevally—so densely packed that they darkened the seabed. And the fascinating pygmy seahorses, Spanish dancers, and shrimp.

Your Accommodations in Raja Ampat

Our resort is located on a small island, right on the beach. The bungalows stand on stilts in the shallow water, with the jungle beginning right behind them. No roads, no engine noise—just pure nature. The accommodations are built sustainably (wood, bamboo, natural materials) yet still offer plenty of comfort: hot water, friendly staff, delicious food, and a genuine island atmosphere.

Between dives, you can go on excursions into the jungle, visit the famous Hidden Bay with its mangroves, watch hornbills and owls, or take a day trip to the stunning FAM Islands and a spectacular waterfall on Batanta.

➕ Optional 6-day pre-trip – Diving in the Lembeh Strait

May 6–12, 2027

Included ✓ Transfers on land & at sea ✓ Accommodations ✓ Full board ✓ 3 dives per day ✓ Shore excursion

If you’d like to experience more beforehand, you can join Klaus for a six-day pre-trip in the famous Lembeh Strait—the mecca of critter diving. Here, we’ll encounter creatures that seem more like beings from another planet than ordinary fish. Anglerfish, frogfish, pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, blue-ringed octopuses, harlequin and ghost shrimp, as well as many other rare marine creatures, make Lembeh a paradise for photographers and lovers of extraordinary underwater worlds. The Lembeh Strait is so sheltered that you can still dive there comfortably even in bad weather.
Celebes See - Tauchreise

The international flight to Indonesia is not included. We’d be happy to help you book your flight, of course.
